I heard on the radio, while driving home from work last night, that the government was planning on stepping up its campaign against smokers. They plan to place graphic images of things like corpses and diseased tissues to remind people of the harmful affects of smoking. I don’t know how to react to this honestly. Yes, I think smoking is bad and harms you and others nearby, but what about other equally harmful things then? Are they going to put graphic images on beer bottles and liquor bottles? How about pictures of people killed by drunk drivers or maybe pictures of people that died from liver failure? What about unhealthy food? Should we put pictures of clogged arteries and obese people on our food products as a warning? Where do we draw the line?
